Patiala House Movie Review: Akshay Kumar’s latest movie Patiala House is out in theatres. After a series of Flaps like Action Replayy, Tees Maar Khan, Blue and Khatta Meetha, Akshay is back with Patiala House directed by Nikhil Advani, who earlier made Chandnichowk to China with the actor.
For a change, Akshay Kumar attempts a family drama with Patiala House. He looked sincere and up to the task as the lead man in this movie. Akshay’s performance as a man (Gattu) who is caught between father and goal of his life is brilliant on any scale. He was aptly supported by Rishi Kapoor (Bauji) and Anushka Sharma (Simran) who played the other key roles.
Understandably Patiala House movie didn’t raise many expectations due to Akshay’s recent track record. We in our review strongly recommend this film for its honest content and sincere efforts. There is an underlying message in this film that life gives second chance to everyone and we should never lose heart.
Despite not having craze and expectations, Patiala House should do well at the box office with the positive word of mouth in its favor. However, it will have to sustain the heat of World cup cricket and also other hot releases that are lined up for release. But certainly, Patiala House is arguably the best film of Akshay Kumar in the last couple of years.
